Terms
These terms describe use of the Lasso app and website during the current free development stage.
1. Service and development status
Lasso helps you select, translate, and listen to text. It is intended for a general audience and is not specifically designed or marketed as a children's app. These terms do not impose a special age restriction or separate conditions for minors. Android and iOS capabilities differ. Some features use local models and others use external cloud services. Experimental features and tutorials may change or be incomplete. A demonstration does not guarantee that a feature is available in a particular build.
2. Account and acceptable use
Keep access to your email and sign-in accounts secure. Do not share sign-in links. Do not use the service for unlawful activity, infringement of others' rights, mass emailing, bypassing limits, or interfering with infrastructure. Only submit material you have the right to process.
3. Model outputs
Translations, recognition, and model answers can contain errors and do not replace professional advice. Check important information. Do not rely solely on Lasso for medical, legal, financial, or other consequential decisions.
4. Free access
Lasso is currently provided free of charge. There are no paid plans, purchases, or automatic charges at this stage. Cloud features may require an account and an internet connection and may be subject to usage limits.
5. Availability and rights
We may restrict requests in response to abuse, outages, or security risks. External provider availability is not guaranteed. Rights to the app, design, and brand belong to their respective owners; you retain your rights to submitted material. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
6. Data and ending use
Data processing is described in the privacy policy. You can stop using the app and revoke permissions at any time. Request account deletion by emailing lasso-app-support@googlegroups.com from your account email address. We complete deletion within 14 days of receiving the request and delete associated user settings and saved learning cards. Billing records are retained indefinitely, subject to applicable legal requirements. Removing the app from your device does not by itself delete a cloud account.
7. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Paraguay, without excluding mandatory rights and protections that apply to you under applicable law. Contact lasso-app-support@googlegroups.com with questions or complaints; we will seek to resolve disputes through that support channel.
